Radio ORLA is proud to announce media patronage of the prestigious 38th Bal Polski (Polish Ball) taking place on January 31, 2009 at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, London. The annual event's honorary patron two years ago was Lech Walesa. It will be hosted under the auspices of the Polish Ambassador Her Excellency Barbara Tuge-Erecinska and the last Polish President-in-exile, Dr Ryszard Kaczorowski and Mrs Karolina Kaczorowska.

Between its launch in 1970 and 2006, the event was known as the Polish Emigre Ball. It integrates the Polish community throughout the UK as well as supports charitable causes.

The 38th Polish Ball will be especially poignant as it will celebrate the 90th anniversary of Poland's Independence Day.
